    "l am living with a mentally and emotionally abusive, alcoholic, narcissist husband. I haven't any "real" job skills or college degree to make enough money to live on my own. I now suffer from severe depression, panic attacks, extreme shyness and barely associate with anyone, or go anywhere due to low self-esteem. I'm 40, humiliated, and tired of living this way. I have 2 kids with him (12 & 9) that I am trying to raise as responsible, independent, giving, caring people. I don't want my son growing up thinking it's ok to treat any person the way his father does, and I'm starting to continue »

    The way I see it is worry is Enemy Numero Uno. She's a bitch on a tear who stirs up unnecessary crap and leaves a trail of anxiety and misery in her wake. She'll steal your money (or keep you from making it), break up your marriage, make you look bad at work, cause you to look and feel older than you are and even make you physically sick. Given the opportunity, she'll completely annihilate your happiness.

    So don't let her.

    Sounds like the song of today's modern woman, doesn't it? We hear "I'm so stressed out." with as much frequency as we apply another coat of  lip gloss on girls' night out.

    It's been said life is a dance, but I don't think they ever meant today's frantically choreographed tap dance of reacting to one crisis after the next, putting everyone else's demands above our own and the brain-dead notion that we were ever meant to multi-task. It's almost like a badge of honor these days. WTF?

    "The faster I do this and the more I get done, the sooner I'll be able to relax."  Oh, so that's how it goes. Really?
